Asthma is a chronic (long-term) disease that makes it hard to breathe.  Learn about asthma basics, signs & symptoms, medications and what to do during an asthma attack.  Develop an asthma action plan. COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) is a long-term lung disease usually caused by smoking.  If you are over 40 and currently smoke cigarettes, or have smoked in the past, you may be at risk for COPD.  Learn how to live with COPD, breathing techniques and rehabilitation; what causes flare-ups and available medications to treat these.
